Wow, it is amazing the difference a year makes. 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days. What a great year. I love that Avery has a spring birthday, it was a beautiful day today so we took full advantage of the near perfect weather. Miss Avery's day started off with her tone deaf parents singing her happy birthday. She woke up with a big grin and was in a great mood. After the birthday serenade it was time to get the pancakes cooking. Avery was happy to help stir the batter and be the official taste-tester (don't worry, no raw eggs in the batter!).
I did my best to make the pancakes in the shape of a "1". Avery inspected it thoroughly and seemed to approve.
After playing for awhile and taking a good long nap, we headed up to Colleyville to have a picnic lunch with Daddy.
I wish we had a park like this near our house, Avery loved watching the ducks and toddling around.
Cupcake time!
I love her reaction to the gooey frosting on her hand.
Hmm... not so sure about this.
On second thought... this cupcake is deelish!
We opened a few presents when Matt got home from work and had a relaxing evening hanging out in the backyard. A certain little birthday girl was exhausted by seven so after a quick bath to wash off any remaining cupcake crumbs she was off to bed early. What a wonderful day!
Such a fun day, Happy Birthday little Miss Avery! :)
