Life According to my IPhone

Hi, my name is Lindsey and I'm one of those crazy moms who is constantly taking pictures with my phone. Yeah, I know it's a little bit annoying and I'm sure I have more than enough pictures of my family but what can I say? I love them and I love taking pictures so yes, I whip out my phone and snap away. I love looking through our day to day happenings, it always makes me smile when I'm having a bad day.

So here is our life (Sept. 2013) according to my phone...

Matt turned 31!! We celebrated sans kids at Pappasitos.  Nothing I love more than a date night with this handsome guy!

That same weekend we went to Temple to see his family (and pickup Avery who stayed with them a few days).  We had a little girls afternoon and shopped in Salado and enjoyed some ice cream!

These two goofballs LOVE to play hide-and-seek.  They both hide and then laugh hysterically when I find them.

They also love bath time.

Asher in his Sunday finest, all ready for church! Future cowboy???

Don't even ask.  The only explanation I could come up with is he's training for American Ninja Warrior.  Not really though.

This girl... she's the sweetest little thing and so full of personality!

We're still loving pool time even though it's the middle of September!

Asher is officially a daddy's boy.
 One word. Obsessed.

So, after avoiding the terrible 2's all together with Avery, I'm thinking Asher is going to repay us by starting at 17 months. Joy.

These four have loved playing together.  We are so thankful for such sweet friends.

Future baller? This kid saw a basketball about 50 ft. away, ran to it and clung to it for dear life.  I've never seen him so happy.

Chick-fil-a ice cream date while we waited for dance class to start!

My little ballerina and her friend Olivia

Someone was READY for class to start and not interested in posing for pictures.

Meet Eli!

We have a new baby living at our house!

He is six months old, 60 lbs, clumsy as can be, full of kisses and lovin.

Since we had to put Cash down Avery has been telling me, daily, how sad she is and how much she misses him.  She made up a song about Cashy Boy being in dog heaven and was just missing having a dog.  Our house just felt empty.  I have to admit I was, and still am, very skeptical about having a puppy with two small children.  He is very sweet and Avery already loves him.  Thankfully he's pretty mellow... a big teddy bear.

He does knock Asher over about 20 times a day though.

It's going to take some adjusting. And a whole lot of patience.

But I'm so glad we have a dog at our house again!

Eli had been living outside all the time and smelled really bad so the first thing we did when he got home was give him a bath.

Um, yeah, Asher immediately stuck his whole face in the water bowl.  Two months without a water bowl sitting around and he forgot everything we taught him. :(

All clean and smelling so good!

Eli is a little lazy and loves lounging... he loves his new bed :)

So do the kids!

Welcome home, sweet boy. We're so excited you're part of our family! (please just stop tackling my kids)

Wrapping Up Summer

My least favorite time of the year (in Texas) is here again.  August and September are rough.  I'm so ready for fall weather but the upper 90's seem to be here to stay.  We've been stuck inside a lot the past few weeks but these two goofballs manage to keep us entertained.

Asher loves this toy.  It is the loudest, most obnoxious thing but it will actually keep his attention for more than 10 minutes so I have grown to love it too :)

Avery's really into jumping right now.  On the couch, off her bed, off chairs (outside), off the slide.  You name it, she likes to jump on it.

I love that Asher is old enough for living room picnics.  We love popping popcorn, laying down the biggest blanket and putting in a Disney movie.

This guy is always greeted with shrieks and hugs when he walks in the door.

We've gotten a TON of use out of this pool.  Asher loves to stick his whole head under water and blow bubbles.

And of course, Avery loves to jump!

A lazy day...

wouldn't be complete without a visit from the Brimberrys.

And a little snuggle time with daddy.

All ready for church!

I had Asher's attention for about .5 seconds.

Sweet kisses from sister help though :)

Usually when the house is quiet it means trouble.  Instead, I found them cuddling together in Avery's bed watching a cartoon.

Brownies on the patio are a must.  Avery loves helping me bake... and licking the bowl!

If this isn't evidence that Asher is Matt's son, I don't know what is.  What is it about the men in my life trying to climb and fold their bodies into small spaces?

We took him out but he just crawled right back in :)
